A weekend get away to Anjarle

Our ride to Anjarle stands out as one of my most memorable trips, mostly because the beach there is incredibly clean and completely uncrowded. The best part? As the Bajaj Avenger Club, Pune (BAC, Pune), we actually got to ride our motorbikes right onto the sand!

We kicked off the trip early Saturday morning on October 31st, hitting the road around 6:00 AM. There were two possible routes we could take to get to Anjarle: one via Tamhini and Mangaon, and the other via Bhor and Khed. Neither route had particularly great roads at the time, but we ultimately decided to go with the Bhor–Khed option.

Honestly, the stretch from Bhor to the Mahad bypass was in terrible shape. We were literally bouncing around thinking, “Oh god, why did we choose this road?” Luckily, once we cleared the Mahad bypass and headed via Khed and Dapoli, the tarmac became absolutely superb all the way to Anjarle.

We stayed overnight at Anjarle and had a blast on the shore that night. It felt just like a classic beach party under the stars.

The next day, we decided to head back toward Pune via Mahabaleshwar so we could stop and grab that famous Mapro sandwich again. The road through Mahabaleshwar turned out to be a much better choice. Looking back at the trip, I walked away with two main takeaways: everyone needs to visit Anjarle at least once, and you should absolutely take the route via Mahabaleshwar!

I also managed to capture the some parts of journey on my GoPro Hero. This is actually the very first video I’ve ever shot and edited with a GoPro, so please let me know what you think and drop any suggestions in the comments below!
